The Tourism Federation of Wisconsin (TFW) was established in 1979 and was formerly named the Wisconsin Tourism Federation. Most of TFW's efforts have been devoted to the passage of legislation supportive of the tourism industry.
While tourism initiatives have come from various administrations, individual legislators, the Governor's Council on Tourism and the industry, TFW's lobbying efforts at the State Capitol and at the grassroots level, have been the determining factor for the final passage or defeat of initiatives of concern to the industry.
TFW has two levels of membership, Voting Membership and Affiliate membership. Voting members are statewide associations predominantly involved in tourism promotion and tourism development. General members have voting and veto rights. Annual dues for voting members are $3000. Affiliate members are associations and organizations supportive of the tourism industry. Affiliate members have neither voting nor veto rights. Annual dues for affiliate members are $750. To apply for membership, please e-mail the following information to tfw@tourismfederationofwi.org
